Ecopromt’s story began in the 1980s, when Ulf Jönsson took his first steps into the greenhouse world. What started as a simple curiosity and love for growing plants soon became a lifelong passion — and the foundation for a company built on practical experience and a long-standing commitment to professional growing.

Decades of work in commercial greenhouses, combined with close collaboration with growers, shaped that foundation. Projects across Europe and the United States — spanning system design, cultivation strategy, and the integration of new technologies — have defined Ecopromt’s approach: practical, biology-led, and focused on solutions that work reliably in day-to-day operations.

Through every stage, the focus has remained the same: practical knowledge, close collaboration with growers, and genuine care for how growing systems perform in real production environments.

Ecopromt works as a consulting-led technical partner within the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry. We collaborate closely with growers and operators to design, develop, and improve growing systems that are reliable and suited for real-world production.

The people behind Ecopromt

Ulf Jönsson

Founder

Ulf is a pioneer in commercial greenhouse operations and controlled environment agriculture, with a long background in developing large-scale production systems and CEA technologies. He has played a key role in shaping systems used in commercial facilities in Europe and the United States. His experience spans both conventional and organic production and forms an important foundation of Ecopromt's approach to reliable and scalable growing systems.

Jörgen Andersson

Chairman of the Board

Jörgen brings long experience in building and scaling companies and complex projects. He was instrumental in the growth of Wästbygg Group from a regional company into a publicly listed group operating across the Nordic region. At Ecopromt, he contributes strategic perspective and supports long-term development and sound execution.

Anders Wennerbäck

Board Member & CEA Facility Development

Anders has extensive experience in the development of commercial greenhouse and CEA facilities. He has been involved in the planning, sourcing, and realization of projects ranging from pilot installations to large-scale production environments. His background contributes to solutions that are practical, scalable, and aligned with long-term operational needs.

John Jönsson

Board Member & CEO, Ecopromt USA Inc.

John works with systems and controls integration for commercial CEA facilities and leads Ecopromt's U.S. operations. His experience includes system design, project coordination, and software development for integrated growing environments. He plays an important role in ensuring that Ecopromt's solutions are integrated, reliable, and adapted to operational requirements.

Tom Jönsson

Board Member & Technical Consulting and Project Management

Tom works with technical consulting and project implementation for commercial CEA facilities, primarily in the United States and Europe. His background includes technical system development and on-site project coordination across different production environments. He contributes practical insight that supports robust solutions and smooth project execution.

Hanna Jönsson

Operations & Logistics Coordination

Hanna supports Ecopromt's operations through coordination of purchasing, logistics, and financial processes. She works across projects and geographies, contributing structure and continuity to day-to-day operations. Her role supports predictable project execution and helps ensure that practical and administrative aspects align throughout each project.

Wilhelm Darke

Project Management & Engineering

Wilhelm works with project management and product development at Ecopromt. He is involved in planning and delivering technical projects, as well as developing products for professional growing environments. With a background in engineering and entrepreneurship, he contributes to reliable system design and continuous product development.

Ann-Christine Andreasson

Finance & Accounting

Annki has long experience in accounting and financial reporting. She is responsible for bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting across the company. Her work supports accurate financial follow-up and a clear overview of Ecopromt's operations.

Helen Jönsson

Finance & Administration

Helen works with financial and administrative coordination across the company. Her responsibilities include invoice approval, payments, and personnel-related administration, as well as coordination with external service providers. She contributes to structured operations and reliable day-to-day processes.
