Time to switch to LED
Are you prepared for the final stage of the EU RoHS Directive? From February 2027, no new HPS lamps may be installed, and the switch to LED gradually becomes mandatory as older lighting reaches the end of its life.
System overview
We supply Bloemteknik’s high-quality, modular LED lighting systems for vertical farms and greenhouses. Thanks to their flexible design and modular configuration, we can offer standard spectra as well as custom solutions tailored to the size of the facility and the crops grown there. More than 25,000 Bloemteknik LED fixtures are installed with growers across Europe and the United States.
Bloemteknik also offers a fully automated solution, GreenFingers™: a self-optimizing light control platform that continuously analyzes plant and indoor climate data in fine detail. Based on the results, it controls the LED lighting autonomously and in real time, keeping it optimized for the plants’ needs at all times — which also makes energy use more efficient. GreenFingers also communicates with the power grid, so the lighting can be shifted to the hours of the day when electricity is cheapest.
